Visits

The fortifications of Vauban are an integral part of the town, enjoy them at your leisure! There are different ways to visit the site:

• "follow in Vauban’s footsteps" along 4 different marked routes (map available free of charge from the Tourist Office);
• follow the town heritage signs;
• or on a GPS tour.

The Chamars bastioned tower is open in July and August.
Fort Griffon is open all year round.
The Citadel, a highly interesting natural and historic site, is open all year, admission fee. Here you will find the Vauban area, the Comtois museum, the Resistance and Deportation museum , Natural History museum and wall walk.
