Prisonnier à Neuf-Brisach

This book is the testimony of a Frenchman who was a prisoner from July 1940 to January1941 inthe stronghold of Neuf-Brisach which at the time was used as a prison by the German army. Forty thousand French soldiers were imprisoned there for nearly a year before being transferred to prisoner of war camps.

Marcel Poisot was then held his captivity inNuremberg. Father of a large family, he returned to France in April 1941. During his stay at the camp, he met the publisher Jacques Vautrain, whose wife helped him to publish this book clandestinely in 1942.
